AC Milan should be backed by quite a large crowd at San Siro against Bari on Sunday, despite the circumstances.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), over 53,000 tickets have already been sold for Milan vs. Bari, the Coppa Italia round of 32 match scheduled for Sunday at 21:15 CEST at San Siro. Given the high demand, the Rossoneri decided yesterday to also open ticket sales for the third tier.
Not only the green third tier will be open – the one reserved for visiting fans – but also the Terzo Anello Rosso and Blu. The game not included in the 2025-26 season ticket as it is not a league fixture, and from this perspective, the sales are even more shocking.
Furthermore, it will be played on the August bank holiday weekend, with the match broadcast live (and free-to-air) on Mediaset. The Rossoneri fans, in short, are desperate not to miss Massimiliano Allegri’s first home game back, even though he will ironically be in the stands due to a suspension.
There will also be many tourists who couldn’t resist the temptation to see San Siro on matchday. Among the current 53,000 in attendance are Milan fans from 108 countries.
France, Germany, and Switzerland are the largest nations after Italy, but fans will also arrive from Samoa, Barbados, Mauritius, and French Polynesia. There will be 2,000 people in attendance in the hospitality areas. The average age of those who purchased tickets is around 32.
