Gimenez’s agent cools rumours of January Milan exit: “There wasn’t a single moment”

Santiago Gimenez’s agent Rafaela Pimenta has once again poured cold water on the idea of the striker leaving AC Milan in January.

The response from Gimenez’s representative seems to be in relation to an article in this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport. They not only claimed that Milan are thinking of selling the striker in January, but that the player himself has realised that moving on might be the best thing.

Gimenez was linked with a move away from the Rossoneri throughout the summer, with Massimiliano Allegri apparently keen on a different mould of centre-forward. Nothing ever materialised, but 2025-26 has been difficult so far, with an ankle issue and zero league goals so far.

Not going anywhere

Pimenta was interviewed by the Spanish-language version of ESPN and answered questions about her client. She addressed the rumours of interest from England, but seemed to rule out a possible move.

“If the Premier League wants him, I’m not surprised they want him. It seems normal to me that one, two, or three clubs are interested, but the idea of him leaving Milan doesn’t exist,” she said (via MilanNews).

“Santi arrived at Milan in January, and he arrived at a Milan that were not at the top of the table, not to mention struggling. All the actions, messages, and words I’ve received from Milan have always been positive.

“There wasn’t a single moment when Milan told me something wasn’t right. Every time the press talks too much, I call Milan, and Milan always respond: ‘No, we’re calm, everything’s fine, thank you’.”
