Gimenez’s agent denies Milan exit once again: “The reports are not true”

Santiago Gimenez’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has once again denied the rumours linking her client with a departure from AC Milan this summer. 

It has been a busy summer for Milan so far and one of the players who has been linked with a move a lot is Gimenez. Despite arriving in January this year, for a significant fee as well, some outlets have suggested that the Rossoneri aren’t convinced about his qualities.

However, this was all denied by the agent Rafaela Pimenta yesterday, as the rumours have taken off again in recent days. Indeed, the striker has been heavily criticised for his performance against Cremonese, missing a big chance at the end.

New denials arrive

As the denial from yesterday seemingly fell on deaf ears, Pimenta decided to provide a comment to the journalist Fabrizio Romano as well earlier today: “Gimenez is not going to leave AC Milan. I can guarantee that reports are not true. He’s staying at the club,” he stated.

The Mexican striker is currently preparing for the game against Lecce this Friday. He will definitely play from start as Milan have a bit of a crisis up front, with only him, Christian Pulisic and Samuele Chukwueze available. The latter could be about to leave as well, which would make matters worse.

Finding the back of the net would certainly help silence the rumours and the critics, so that is what Gimenez will have to aim for.
