Harry Redknapp makes unpopular prediction for Tottenham away to Man United

Harry Redknapp has had his say ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to Old Trafford to face Man United in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur are 14th in the Premier League table and need to start getting wins on the board if they are to avoid a full-on relegation scrap.

Last time out in the league, Spurs earned a point after going two goals down against Manchester City in the first half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, putting in a spirited second-half display to earn a 2-2 draw.

A lot of positives can be taken from that encounter as they head into their next clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford this gameweek.

United are no walkover though, as they are unbeaten under caretaker Michael Carrick in the Premier League, winning their last three encounters against Manchester City, Arsenal and Fulham.

Tottenham, however, have not tasted defeat against the Red Devils in their last seven outings in all competitions, including their Europa League win last season in Bilbao, Spain.

Harry Redknapp, speaking to BetVictor, shared his thoughts on the fixture and delivered his prediction for the clash.

He said: “This should be a good game! United have been so much better under Carrick and now are right in the race for those Champions League places.

“They just seem to have more spark and more confidence about them and that late winner last week will only help that.

“Spurs showed a lot of fight to come back against City, they needed that after what has been a very difficult period for them. It does not get any easier for them here though.

“I can see both teams scoring, but I am picking United.”

Prediction: Man United 2-1 Tottenham

Spurs handed injury boosts ahead of Old Trafford trip

Spurs have been handed a couple of injury boosts coming into this encounter, and that should work in favour of Thomas Frank’s side.

Micky van de Ven is expected to return to action here after missing out in the last couple of weeks due to a minor injury.

Djed Spence could also feature, but according to Frank, it remains touch and go with the full-back ahead of this encounter.
