‘He’s a complete player’ – Pellegatti fuels Son Heung-min to Milan rumours

Carlo Pellegatti has encouraged AC Milan to explore a deal to sign Son Heung-min from Los Angeles FC, if the opportunity is there.

A surprise name was linked with Milan a couple of days ago, as Transferfeed stated that Son could arrive in the second half of the season on a loan deal, taking advantage of the winter break in Major League Soccer.

The Sun referred to the ‘David Beckham clause’, one that allowed Milan to sign the English midfielder from LA Galaxy over 15 years ago. The goal? To maintain fitness ahead of the 2026 World Cup in the USA, where Son will captain his South Korean team.

The possible scenario, as suggestive as it is, is not entirely unprecedented. In past years, other big names have chosen temporary solutions in Europe to remain competitive during the long American offseason.

Pellegatti gives thumbs up

Carlo Pellegatti has further fuelled the story in one of the latest videos published on his YouTube channel, as he commented on the speculation that Son could come to Milan and add some attacking cover.

“Son’s presence would drive me crazy. He can play up front, on the left, on the right… he would complete the attack. He’s a complete player. I’d be thrilled because he’s a great, great player. I hope he can come to Milan,” he said (via AllMilan).

For now it is only a rumour, and it hasn’t been confirmed by any reliable sources. However, it’s possible that discussions with Los Angeles FC and the player’s entourage could occur, and from there more information on costs would emerge.
