‘He would be forgotten’ – Cassano gives explosive interview to criticise Leao and Allegri

Antonio Cassano is no stranger to giving a controversial interview, and the latest has arrived today, with him going all guns blazing at AC Milan.

In the past few years, Cassano has been extremely critical of Milan and certain players. However, the main target for his frustrated comments have been Rafael Leao, who has ignored him more this season.

The Portuguese star cannot do anything right in Cassano’s eyes, it seems, and despite him enjoying his best goalscoring season to date, the Italian still cannot find any complimentary things to say about the striker.

More criticism

Even with the Rossoneri now sitting at the top of the league, the former striker has hit out against the club, Massimiliano Allegri and, to no surprise, Leao. Speaking to Viva el Futbol, he offered his view on the season – albeit shortly after leaving the studio when the team were praised – as Calciomercato.com relays.

“I see zero positives [with Allegri]. You can win the Scudetto, you just stick it in your ***. I don’t care if you win matches. Except for the match against Udinese, he’s been playing some ***** matches between the match against Inter and the first 60 minutes against Lazio. It’s shameful.

“If the late Berlusconi were alive, I’d like to go to his house: ‘Dear President, since you’ve always admired beauty, aesthetics, quality, what do we do about it?’ Everyone’s complimenting him, and you yourself are now saying he’s created a team, but he can shoot others down because he’s smart.

“He’s taking credit for things he doesn’t deserve, because if I remember, last year, when we started with Fonseca, the whole team was united. And then? My friend taught me that Father Time arrives.

“Dark times will come, and I want to see what his talent will be there, through his journalist friends. ‘We have staffing problems, we’re short on players, we’re playing without strikers,’ because now the smart thing is to get ahead.”

Swipes at Leao and Allegri…

“Remember what happened with Mourinho, dear Nick: I always said he was done and that sooner or later he would be forgotten, and so it was. His time will come, too, because I can’t imagine a Milan playing crumbling football thanks to their coach.

“Milan is history, quality, beauty, aesthetics. It always has been. The team in Italy that has entertained the most, with the most quality. Allegri? Every time you see him take off his jacket, he acts like a movie star.

“He makes scenes with others, not with me. But Father Time comes for him, too.

“That other shin [Leao] scores goals, now he feels even more important, but he’s still poor because he was unwatchable the other day against Lazio too.

“I’m convinced that in the long run, a certain level of quality will emerge and Milan will have great difficulties: when the **** hits the fan, there are two possibilities: either you work your way out of it, or you drown, and you’ll be in trouble.”
