Milan Primavera had yet another disappointing result on Sunday afternoon as they were well beaten by high-flying Verona away from home.
The Primavera were held to a draw in the derby against Inter in their last fixture, squandering a two-goal lead and experiencing late heartbreak once again to draw 2-2.
Lontani and Perera had but Milan in a fantastic position to claim a derby win, but they collapsed in the second half to drop two more points, failing to trim the gap to their city rivals.
In Verona this afternoon, the Rossoneri did well for the opening half an hour, but in the 36th minute came the moment that unlocked the game as Barry put the home side one goal up.
In the second half, Verona’s clinical side showed. The undisputed star was Vermesan, who in just 11 minutes sealed the match with a deadly hat trick. Goals in the 56th, 59th and 67th minutes put the game to bed.
In the final minutes, Milan’s consolation goal came, scored by Dotta. Obviously, it was too late to get any kind of comeback started. It was a poor performance from Renna’s side, especially in the second half, and it leaves the Diavolo in 12th position.
