With less than three weeks to go until the summer transfer window closes, Arne Slot looks to be putting the finishing touches to his squad for this season’s Premier League title defense.
It has already been a busy few months at Anfield, with nearly $400 million as the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez have made the move to Merseyside, and more could still be on the way.
Liverpool looks set to continue its business during the final days of the transfer window, with both incomings and outgoings expected as talks are already underway for two new signings.
Marc Guehi and Giovanni Leoni could be the next couple of players to arrive. The Reds are looking to sign both before the end of the window, and progress appears to have been made with both Crystal Palace and Parma.
Meanwhile, the Alexander Isak saga continues, and with every passing day, it seems as though Newcastle’s position might be getting weaker and weaker.
The striker is now said to be refusing to ever play for the Magpies again as he tries to force through an exit, and Liverpool will be keen to see him get his wish.
If all goes according to plan, all three will be added to Slot’s squad for the 2025/26 campaign, which is also likely to see a few more departures before September 1.
Kostas Tsimikas looks set to be the next player to make way, with the left-back having been left out of the squad at Wembley on Sunday as transfer interest intensifies.
Nottingham Forest has been linked with him this summer, as has Leeds United, but there are a number of Premier League teams and clubs overseas keen.
Harvey Elliott may also depart, with the England U21 international eager to get some guaranteed playing time as he eyes up a place in the Three Lions’ senior squad for next year’s World Cup.

RB Leipzig has been linked with his services, although nothing has yet been agreed, with Elliott’s presence at the Community Shield suggesting there is still plenty of work to be done there.
Elsewhere, Ben Doak could be on the move to Leeds, while Federico Chiesa looks as though he could be staying put, although a return to Italy has been touted.
At this stage, it perhaps looks as though the Italian will stay, and be part of a first-team squad that is also set to include 18-year-old Trey Nyoni, while Rio Ngumoha could be set for more opportunities after an outstanding summer.
