Manchester United ends its pre-season preparations ahead of the new season with a home clash against Fiorentina on Saturday.
The Red Devils have played four matches already this summer, unusually, all of which came against Premier League clubs. A 0-0 draw with Leeds United in Stockholm began pre-season activities, before Ruben Amorim’s side headed off to the USA.
United beat West Ham United and Bournemouth in the Premier League Summer Series and drew with Everton in the final of the three matches. Now back in England, the encounter against Fiorentina beckons just over a week before United’s Premier League campaign begins when Arsenal travels to Old Trafford.
The clash against Fiorentina also offers one ex-player the opportunity to bid farewell to the club’s fans. David de Gea left under a cloud two years ago and has not returned to Old Trafford since.
Saturday’s game in Manchester will feature a presentation from the current squad to recognize the contribution of a player who sits seventh on the club’s all-time appearance list.
In addition to De Gea, Fiorentina’s squad contains ex-Premier League stars Edin Dzeko and Moise Kean. The Florence-based club finished sixth in Serie A last season.
Saturday’s match kicks off at 12:45pm in the UK, or 07:45 ET and 4:45 PT.

How to watch Man Utd vs. Fiorentina
The pre-season game is only available to watch on United’s in-house media channel MUTV. It will also be streamed via the club’s website and app.
Team news
Summer signings Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon could all make their first appearances for United at Old Trafford.
After giving minutes to several youngsters during pre-season, Amorim could revert to a more recognizable side for Saturday’s clash.
Andre Onana, Noussair Mazraoui and Joshua Zirkzee are all doubts, while Lisandro Martinez remains on the sidelines.
Fiorentina’s only absentee is Christian Kouame.
What next?
After Saturday’s match, the Red Devils return to Premier League action with a tough first assignment against Arsenal next week. It then faces Fulham at Craven Cottage and hosts Burnley before the September international break.
