It seemed like AC Milan would sign Victor Boniface this summer. However, the Nigerian failed his medical, and another route was taken.
A signing like Boniface is a big one for Milan, someone who has scored goals in a top league consistently, available within the parameters often stuck to by the Rossoneri. However, an opportunity like that is not without a caveat.
In this case, the issues were with a long-term issue with the striker’s knee, which has flared up again this summer, per reports. So, the Diavolo opted to go elsewhere, leaving Boniface to return to Germany.
Brutally honests Boniface
A few things have been said about the move, and the striker even responded to a few critics the other day, who questioned whether he was ‘serious’. Recently, he has spoken ‘without filter’ on his Twitch channel about the move and why it did not occur, and Alfredo Pedulla has relayed his comments.

“At a certain point, I gave up. When others were playing football, I was just working to get back into it. After my second anterior cruciate ligament injury, I didn’t even want to play anymore because of the pain from the first and what I went through with the second.
“During that time, I also lost my mother. AC Milan? The transfer didn’t work out because of my past injuries. I’ve had two right knee injuries, and it’s something I’ve been dealing with for a long time.”
