“I’m happy here” – Tomori responds to question about potential Milan renewal

1 hour ago 34

Fikayo Tomori has reiterated that he is happy at AC Milan amid talk of a possible renewal, and he was also delighted with the clean sheet today.

Milan made sure they ended 2025 the right way with a dominant 3-0 victory against Hellas Verona at San Siro on Sunday afternoon. Christian Pulisic got the opening goal just before the interval, then Christopher Nkunku got off the mark in Serie A with a brace inside a few second half minutes.

Massimiliano Allegri and the team will no doubt be thrilled with the three goals and the three points, but the clean sheet felt just as important given the struggles in recent weeks keeping goals out, especially against the teams at the bottom end of the table.

‘Such a great club’

Tomori attended the press conference after head coach Allegri to give his assessments after a win and a job well done against Verona. His comments are via MilanNews.

A clean sheet that you needed…

“We’re happy. We’d conceded too many goals in the last few games, and we wanted to get back to what we did at the start of the season. So we’re happy. We need to rest, recover, and then come back with the same attitude we had today.”

Are you ready to sign the renewal?

“I’m happy here. It’s such a great club. I give it my all. Things happen outside, the club and my agents take care of them. I’m focused on what happens on the pitch.”

Who is stronger than this Milan side?

“That’s a tough question. Inter are a strong team: since I arrived, they’ve always been first or second. They’re a great team, but so are we. Today we won, and our work for today is done, but from tomorrow onwards we’ll focus on Thursday.”

Were you worried about being one yellow card away from a suspension?

“Honestly, no, I don’t let it influence me. I always do my best for the team. If I get a yellow, it happens… We have a strong team: if I don’t play a game, there’s someone else who can play.”
