Christopher Nkunku’s future has been a big focus around AC Milan in recent weeks, with it seeming like the Frenchman could leave the club. It may not be the case, though.
When it was reported that Milan were making a move towards Nkunku, many were left confused. The striker was not a cheap addition, yet he was the complete opposite of what Massimiliano Allegri had requested for months prior.
Another technical player to add to the attack, instead of a physical profile, it was certainly a strange choice to make, especially considering the big fee. So, when he struggled to hit the ground running in Italy, those doubts were only made to look more reasonable.
Even with three Serie A goals to his name, the latest of which came this weekend, the questions are still present.
No chance for Tedesco
However, it appears that any chances of a move may have been shut down. The Frenchman does not seem willing to leave and Domenico Tedesco spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), offering a similar idea.
“I understand the rumours because I have a lot of respect for Christopher, and together we won the 2022 German Cup, Leipzig’s first trophy. The January transfer window, however, is unusual; you can’t decide who you want to sign; it’s not just up to you.
“At this time, I think it’s unlikely that Christopher will come to Turkey.”
