With AC Milan looking for a new right-back, there are a few names of interest. However, Igli Tare has a preference, it seems.

In the past few years, Milan have failed to really lock down the right-back position. No one brought in to challenge Davide Calabria really did, whilst the signings of Emerson Royal and Kyle Walker both trickled off quickly.

Understandably then, you would feel a bit cautious about the attempts to bring in a new option this summer. Considering how poor the Rossoneri have been in their previous selections, but this is where the say of Tare could be pivotal.

As is reported today by Il Giornale, there are two standout candidates for the Diavolo this summer: Guela Doue, from Strasbourg, and Marc Pubill, from Almeria. However, it seems that Tare would prefer to bring in the French option, MilanNews relays.

There have been issues in the negotiations with Strasbourg, largely due to the questionable relationship between Milan and BlueCo – thanks to the Mike Maignan to Chelsea deal – nevertheless, it is not impossible to solve.
