Inter captain Lautaro insists Scudetto race is four-way battle: “I want to go all the way”

Lautaro Martinez believes that it is a four-horse race for the Scudetto, with AC Milan among Inter’s rivals.

At the moment, the top of the Serie A table is nearly as tight as it could possibly be. Milan lead the way with 31 points from 14 games and are ahead of Napoli only on goal difference, then Inter are in third but only one point behind.

Even the stars of the respective teams are battling it out for supremacy. Christian Pulisic and Lautaro are both on seven goals in the league, with Hakan Calhanoglu just behind on six, so there could be a very close contest for the Capocannoniere too.

Lautaro was present at the Gazzetta Sports Awards ceremony last night at the Fiera Milano Auditorium and he answered a question about the Scudetto battle in Serie A, after Luka Modric had spoken on stage.

“I’ll also include Roma, they have a coach I really like. I want to go all the way in every competition, as we’ve done in recent years. We’re on an extraordinary journey that has brought Inter trophies and happiness. Playing two Champions League finals in three years isn’t a given.”
