‘It all depends’ – Sacchi believes Leao and Vlahovic could be ‘great’ for Milan

This morning, AC Milan legend Arrigo Sacchi has spoken about the possibility of Rafael Leao and Dusan Vlahovic co-existing. 

There has been a lot of talk about Vlahovic this summer, but there has been little about how he would actually fit in. Of course, a player like Vlahovic needs little introduction, but introducing him into the team’s system, well that is entirely different.

To do that, certain players may require moving or even altering. Sacrifices may have to be made and stars may shine a little less, rather than being enhanced by the Serbian. Everything is possible, of course. However, it needs considering.

Sacchi’s review

Today, Sacchi has spoken about the possibility of Leao and Vlahovic combining for Milan, whilst also stating that there needs to be some considerations made; his words to La Gazzetta dello Sport have been relayed by MilanPress.

“Leao-Vlahovic? A great pairing. Speaking of Leao, I’d say it all depends on him: he has plenty of quality, now he has to prove he’s consistent. Vlahovic is a perfect centre-forward when fed with crosses from the wings. The team’s entire play needs to be designed around this solution.”

It certainly could be great for the Rossoneri, and Massimiliano Allegri will likely already have hypothesised how to get the system to work.
