‘It’s the opposite’ – Lecce President dismisses claim about Milan Camarda fee

AC Milan loaned Francesco Camarda to Lecce, and there was a suggestion that for every goal he scored, they were paid.

Goal bonuses are a thing in transfers, where if a player joins another and helps them to an achievement, they get an extra chunk of funds for doing so. This is also the case with loans. However, including it in one for Camarda would have been strange.

The details of the Camarda deal are certainly interesting, and if the Italian develops whilst in Salento, the Giallorossi will be able to earn some money from the process. However, it is not being done in the way of a goal bonus.

Camarda’s nonexistent goal bonus

The suggestion has been spoken of recently, with some even pointing towards the decision for him to take the penalty against Napoli. However, these ideas have been dismissed by the president of the club, Sticchi Damiani, whose words have been relayed by Calciomercato.com.

“I heard that Milan pays us for every goal Camarda scores, and therefore, he took the penalty against Napoli. It’s just a fabrication; if anything, it’s the opposite, because we’re the ones who owe the boy something if he scores.”
