Christian Pulisic delivered an important goal for AC Milan, as he so often has, to make it 2-0 and secure three points against Lecce.
There is something about Pulisic which is just inevitable. When someone needs to step up, it has often been him; there is a reason he is affectionately called Captain America by Milanisti. So, when he was reported to miss the starting lineup with an injury, there was a bit of worry.
That worry carried through, with Milan making the game difficult, having two goals ruled out in the process. However, they eventually got their lead through Ruben Lofus-Cheek, who nodded home a Luka Modric free-kick.
Then, with the game needing a bit of settling, the Rossoneri found Pulisic driving on goal, and he slotted it past Falcone with no issue.

Pulisic speaks after Lecce win
Speaking after his goal, the American was rather honest about the Diavolo, and his words to Sky have been relayed by MilanNews.
How’s your ankle?
“I’m fine. I had some problems, but I’m fine now. Today I think I touched the ball three times, but I scored. It was a beautiful night.”
Why did that match against Cremonese happen?
“We didn’t play terribly against Cremonese, just small details. Today we did much better; we could have scored 3/4 goals. We also create chances. And yes, today we did much better.”
Nkunku has arrived: what qualities does he bring?
“He has a lot of qualities. He comes here and can help the team a lot.”
Pulisic also spoke to DAZN, as has again been relayed by MilanNews.
On the quality of Milan…
“We know we’re a strong, high-quality team. It’s up to us to prove it on the pitch every game, like we did tonight.”
A convincing victory…
“Yes, it’s true. We were able to hold the field well against Lecce, but it’s crucial not to concede goals given our style of play, and we did that today.”
