Jacobone: Milan and Roma closely watching development of Pisa ‘revelation’

AC Milan are always on the lookout for talented young players, and one from Pisa has reportedly caught their eye.

According to what is being reported by the journalist Alessandro Jacobone, Milan are admirers of Samuele Angori. He writes that the left-back – who has been ‘a revelation for Pisa’ – is being closely monitored by the Rossoneri as well as by Roma.

Angori was in the academy at ASD Calcio Fratta from the age of five, and then three years later he joined Fiorentina, before heading to Perugia when he was 13. In 2021 he signed his first professional contract with Perugia until 2024, and made his senior debut in August 2022.

After a loan spell, Angori signed permanently for Empoli in 2023 and then one year after then he signed for Pisa. In his debut season with them, they finished second in the Serie B table and got promotion back to the top flight.

The defender was called up to play for the Italy U20s in October 2023 and then in March of this year, he was called up to the Italy U21s. The 22-year-old has made eight appearances so far in Serie A and has one assist to his name. He did not start in the 2-2 draw against Milan at San Siro.
