Jacobs: Milan star Leao the dream target for Spurs in winger pursuit

Spurs want to sign another left winger this summer and Rafael Leao remains on their list, according to Ben Jacobs.

All of the reports regarding Leao’s future at Milan have suggested that he has no intention to move. If anything he seems more determined than ever to try and truly crack a consistent world-class level, which the new head coach Massimiliano Allegri hopes to help him with.

Leao: An option for Spurs

According to Ben Jacobs (via WeAreTottenham), Spurs still want a left-sided attacker and Leão remains a name to watch. The lack of Champions League football for the Rossoneri, along with a potential willingness from Leão to leave, could open the door if his asking price were to decline.

The London club have already tied up deals for Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus but they address other areas so will not in theory prevent Spurs from pursuing another winger. They were also close to finalising a £60m deal for Morgan Gibbs-White before a legal dispute broke out.

Their sporting director Fabio Paratici remains a strong admirer of Leão as well, given that he saw him first hand in his time at Juventus. However, it would not be cheap nor easy to pull off given how much he is worth in the eyes of the Milan management.
