Jashari discusses Cremonese defeat and training with Modric: “A wake up call”

AC Milan will be without Ardon Jashari for a while it seems, and before the news of the injury, he spoke about things so far.

Milan making a move for Jashari was something which took all summer to complete. So, after two competitive games for him to be ruled out for a while, potentially, it feels like a real kick in the teeth for the Rossoneri.

Unfortunately, football never really offers time to lick wounds. So, Massimiliano Allegri will now be forced to rethink his team, given that the Swiss midfielder was due to play in tomorrow’s game against Lecce as a starter.

Jashari’s review of first weeks

Before the news of his injury this afternoon, Sky (via MilanNews) released some comments from the midfielder.

“We know that starting well is important for morale, but not only that. It was disappointing to lose the first match in front of our fans, but maybe that’s okay; it’ll be a wake-up call for us to get back up and do better next time.”

Working with Modric…

“He’s a champion, we see it every day. We know that training with him can be a lesson for us, especially for younger players like me.”

Given the extent of the Diavolo’s pursuit this summer, this is a real setback. However, the midfielder will not be beaten by this and will hope to be back on the pitch as soon as he is medically cleared.
