Jashari discusses return to the field and his injury: “I felt so much warmth from the team”

Ardon Jashari returned to the pitch today, after almost three months without playing for AC Milan. A big moment, perhaps, for the season.

In the first half, Jashari was a class above Virtus Entella, as you would hope. The Swiss midfielder did what you would hope he would, looking calm under pressure and never looking out of place. However, as the game progressed, he made a few errors.

It seems that the game against Inter next weekend may be a bit soon for him to play, given the level of that fixture. However, the Rossoneri can hope to see him back in action properly against Lazio, in the Coppa Italia at the start of December, which he could even start.

Jashari says thanks

Despite the drop in performance, today was really a case of getting minutes in the legs and seeing where he was up to, and Massimiliano Allegri will probably be quite pleased with the performance. Speaking this evening to MilanTV, he thanked the club, his teammates and the fans for their support, via MilanNews.

“It’s been a long journey to get here, especially after the busy transfer window and the bad injury. After about three months, it’s nice to be back on the pitch from the start in a friendly. It’s a great feeling.

“It’s always a bit difficult to get back to playing after being out for a long time, and on pitches like this it’s even more complicated, but ultimately I missed playing football. The most important thing today was to rediscover those feelings: doing good things with the ball, running a lot for the team. That mattered more than anything else today.”

The injury…

“This match was crucial for me to get back to playing. I really appreciated it: Coach Allegri and my teammates helped me. During the injury, I received so many messages, and even when I was training alone at Milanello, I felt so much warmth from the team. Now I hope to return to the pitch with them soon in official competitions to give my best.”

What he wants to give back…

“I want to give my all, deliver my best performances, and bring confidence to the team, even on an individual level. Ultimately, the most important thing is to win. Let’s see what we can achieve together.”
