Jashari excluded from Club Brugge’s first league game – latest on Milan move

Ardon Jashari hasn’t been called up for Club Brugge’s first league game of the season, with AC Milan getting closer and closer to securing his services.

After making progress in the negotiations, as was reported by Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, Milan want to get the green light from Club Brugge before the end of the weekend. Jashari, meanwhile, continues to wait for the move.

The 22-year-old, who will turn 23 on Wednesday, has been training with the team as normal in recent days. The head coach even confirmed that he has had a good attitude, but he remains keen on joining the Rossoneri – which he hasn’t exactly hidden.

Excluded from matchday squad

As confirmed by Club Brugge this evening, Jashari has been left out of the squad that will face Genk in the first league game. While it could be that he hasn’t trained a whole lot with the team lately, it’s clear that the advanced negotiations with Milan are playing a part.

Fabrizio Romano added that talks are ongoing between the clubs to find a final agreement, while Jashari has rejected two Premier League clubs in recent weeks. He only wants Milan, meaning such a transfer is the only way for Brugge to monetise their star.
