AC Milan are already thinking ahead about potential transfer targets and the latest name on their radar is Niccolò Fortini.
There was a lot of movement in the full-back department during the summer, and on the left side Theo Hernandez left Milan after six seasons. He was ultimately replaced by Pervis Estupinan, who signed from Brighton and Hove Albion and has become the new starter.
However, Estupinan was not the only profile that was linked during the window. A rather surprise name surfaced in Fortini, who was shining on loan for Juve Stabia. The 19-year-old full-back is highly rated, and he made his Serie A debut earlier in the month during Fiorentina-Como.
Now, the journalist Pietro Balzano Prota has revealed that Fortini is a name that Milan are watching closely as he gave an update to MilanVibes (via X).
“The news I can give you confidently is that Milan are following Niccolò Fortini, Fiorentina’s full-back, with great interest. Milan is closely monitoring his growth. There is no negotiation, but he is very much liked,” he said.
At the moment Davide Bartesaghi is the back-up to Estupinan and he should get the start against Juventus to replace the suspended Ecuadorian.
