Journalist outlines condition that makes Modric more likely to stay at Milan: “… if”

This summer, Luka Modric could decide to leave AC Milan, but under the right conditions, the extra year clause in his contract could be activated.

“If he’s healthy, he’ll stay for another year… If Milan qualify for the Champions League, I don’t see why he shouldn’t stay and take charge of the team in Europe as well.

“However, in a situation like this, at 41 years old and older, I find it harder to see him as a permanent starter.”
