Jurgen Klopp won several trophies during his time as Liverpool manager — including the Premier League title and Champions League — and is now working for Red Bull

It's claimed that Jurgen Klopp is considering making a return to coaching, with pressure building on current Liverpool boss Arne Slot.
The Reds suffered a humbling 2-1 Premier League loss at bottom-placed Wolves on Tuesday to heap even more strain on Slot. Liverpool is in danger of missing out on Champions League qualification, despite spending around $600 million last summer.
There are question marks over whether Slot, who led Liverpool to the Premier League title last season, is the right man for the job. That Dutchman will feel even more heat if his players lose to Wolves again on Friday, as the two teams meet in the FA Cup.

The German coach stepped down as Liverpool's manager in the summer of 2024 after almost nine years in charge to take a break from coaching.
Klopp has since become an executive, becoming Red Bull's head of global soccer at the beginning of 2025. Yet he could return to the touchline sooner rather than later.
According to Sky Sport Switzerland, Klopp is "feeling the urge to coach" again. It's believed that Real Madrid, which is expected to hire a new coach this summer, is watching Klopp's situation, while replacing Julian Nagelsmann as Germany's manager is another option.

Klopp has already confirmed that he will never coach another English team, unless Liverpool comes calling. Sky Sport Switzerland's report insists that a return to coaching, whether it be with Liverpool or elsewhere, "seems inevitable" for Klopp.
Regardless of whether Klopp returns to Liverpool, Slot's position at Anfield is looking increasingly vulnerable. Liverpool will drop out of the Premier League's top five — the Champions League spots — if Chelsea beats Aston Villa in Birmingham on Wednesday.
Slot's players do still have a chance of winning both the FA Cup and Champions League. They have reached the last 16 of the Champions League, where they'll face Galatasaray, but face a daunting route to the final.
If they beat Galatasaray, the Reds will face either Paris Saint-Germain or Chelsea in the quarterfinals. Just to make Liverpool's task even more difficult, one of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Atalanta and Bayern Munich will be waiting in the semifinals.
While Liverpool's results this season have been poor, Slot's decision-making has also come under scrutiny. His refusal to start Rio Ngumoha, one of Liverpool's best attacking players in recent weeks, is causing frustration on Merseyside.
"He has to start Ngumoha now," Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard told TNT Sports after Tuesday's game. "He has to start him because he’s coming on and he’s doing more in a short cameo in a short space of time than (Cody) Gakpo’s doing in 65, 70 minutes."
Gerrard is hoping Ngumoha will start against Wolves in the FA Cup on Friday. Slot has credit in the bank after his title win last season, but may need to win silverware and secure a top-five finish to save his job once Liverpool's disappointing 2025-26 campaign ends.
If Slot fails to finish the season strongly, and Klopp fancies a return to the dugout after two years away, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the German back at Anfield.
