Klopp, 58, took the helm of the LFC Legends side as they faced Borussia Dortmund in the club's annual charity fixture on Saturday afternoon, with fans making their feelings clear on the returning German.
In an entertaining contest, the Reds raced into a two-goal advantage at the break courtesy of strikes from Thiago Alcantara and Jay Spearing. Dortmund, however, mounted a determined fightback in the second half, with Mohamed Zidan pulling one back before Jan Koller levelled to seal a 2-2 draw.

Post-match footage showed Klopp strolling around the pitch alongside the LFC Legends before pausing at the Kop to deliver his celebrated gesture to the supporters. The German repeated the tribute in front of the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand and the Anfield Road Stand before heading back down the tunnel to the dressing room.
Klopp spent nearly nine years at Liverpool before departing in May 2024, having won 299 and drawn 103 of his 491 matches in charge, claiming eight trophies including the Premier League, FA Cup and the Champions League.
Steven Gerrard also took part in the game and spoke glowingly of star man Thiago and the special occasion at Anfield.
"It is easy to play with outstanding players. They are on the same wavelength. You know what each other are going to do," he said.
"As soon as I saw his name on the list, I made myself available straightaway. It was a pleasure. The respect is mutual. It was nice to link up with a bit of quality. A deserved man of the match.
"The brain still works at the same speed but the body is a few seconds behind. There were a few frustrating moments.
"The legs don’t work the same as they did 10-15 years ago. I come here for the supporters and to give a bit back to great causes.
"It is a fantastic buzz. You can’t wait to get back together with the lads. 60,000 fans today, no other club in the world does that."
