Juventus director responds to question about Galliani wanting Vlahovic at Milan

The new Juventus technical director François Modesto has admitted that he spoke with Adriano Galliani about joing, and commented on Dusan Vlahovic.

Modesto gave an interview to Tuttosport from the Bianconeri’s training camp in Herzogenaurach in Germany, where they are preparing for the new season. Among the topics discussed was his past with Galliani at Monza, and MilanPress relayed his comments.

“He [Galliani] was the first person I called when I signed with Juventus. I thanked him very much. I spent two and a half years with the Doctor, and it was like the university of football,” he said.

“A person who gave me so much, who taught me so much. I keep certain things to myself, even those with President Berlusconi. Galliani and I speak once or twice a week, but in three years, he has given me so much.”

Modesto was asked if Galliani wants Vlahovic at Milan, to which he responded: “We’re not talking about the transfer market, just personal matters. Dusan is training and doing well: he’s professional. And he’s a Juve player.”

Galliani and Vlahovic at Milan?

The idea of bringing Adriano Galliani back to Milan in the role of Director of Football seems to be gaining ground in the media. The key date is September 9th, when Monza’s sale to new American owners should go through, but there is talk of a handshake with Gerry Cardinale already having happened.

Meanwhile, Vlahovic is among the names that keeps being linked with the Rossoneri in their hunt for a new striker. Patience will be needed though, it seems, because of the costs of the operation.
