Ricardo Kaka has revealed that the favourite goal he scores in his career was with AC Milan, but not at San Siro.
A modern legend of the club, Kaká helped Milan win the Serie A title in his first season and led the Rossoneri to win the 2006–07 UEFA Champions League as the tournament’s top goalscorer. He won the Ballon d’Or off the back of it, and scored 104 goals for the club in total.
Kaka was interviewed by UEFA TV and in the short clip he talks through the favourite goal he scored in his career, which came at the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford.
“Probably the best goal of my career. Dida’s assist was fantastic. The atmosphere, the fact that it was a Champions League semi-final, against United at their home ground… so many ingredients that made it a truly special goal for me.”
