Landucci provides update on Pulisic ahead of ‘very difficult’ Torino clash: “He’s available”

Ahead of tonight’s game between AC Milan and Torino, the Rossoneri’s assistant manager – and head coach for the night – Marco Landucci spoke to the media.

As a result of Massimiliano Allegri’s red card against Lazio last weekend, his assistant Landucci will be leading the team tonight for the fourth time this season. The former will be watching on from the stands, though, so there will be communication before.

Speaking to Sky Italia just a few minutes ago, as transcribed by MilanNews, Landucci shared his thoughts on what he believes will be a ‘very difficult clash’. Considering the Rossoneri’s record in this fixture, it’s hard to say that he’s wrong.

What’s it like without Allegri?

“Our boss is missing, I’m happier when he’s here. All of us on the staff are working together to replace him as best we can, and we’ll see how it goes. It’s a very difficult match. I’ve been here many times, and they’ve always been very tough matches, and it will be the same tonight.”

On Pulisic…

“If he’s on the bench, it definitely means he’s available, it means he’s available.”

On Nkunku…

“He’s a player we have a lot of faith in. He had a great match against Lazio in the league, and I’m convinced he’ll have a great game tonight.”

Is it a derby for you and Allegri?

“It’s not a derby, it’s Milan’s game. We want to get points, it depends on our attitude on the pitch.”

With a win tonight, Milan would reclaim first spot in the league standings, having dropped to third place over the week as both Inter and Napoli won. In other words, it’s a very important game and three points would send a statement.
