Lautaro believes Inter ‘certainly deserved better’ in derby against Milan

Inter captain Lautaro Martinez believes that they ‘deserved better’ from the derby against AC Milan, which they lost on Sunday night.

The Argentine spoke to Sky on the eve of Inter’s Champions League match against Atlético Madrid and he revisited Sunday’s derby, which he believes his side deserved more from on the balance of play.

“The derby left a bitter taste in our mouths. We were disappointed because we knew we put in a great performance and certainly deserved better. But now we’ve turned the page,” he said (via MilanPress).

“Head-to-head matches? We’ve been missing something lately, and sometimes that worries us a bit, especially since we’ve never lacked in our performances.”
