Leao offers support to Füllkrug off the pitch after Pisa act – his new role for Milan

Rafael Leao’s maturity and personality are shining currently for AC Milan, and after the Pisa game, the Portuguese can only be applauded.

Niclas Fullkrug certainly had a game to forget, given he came on as a substitute and was also subbed off in the same game. Then, there is the elephant in the room, his penalty miss. Of course, it happens, but the striker certainly felt bad afterwards, taking to social media to apologise.

“Definitely had better days and very relieved the penalty didn’t turn out decisive – grazie team!🙏🏼

“Games like this can still make the difference in the end and that’s all we need now!

“Thank you all for supporting us on this Friday night – have a nice weekend, Rossoneri! ❤️🖤”

Fullkrug message Pisa-Milan

His comments have not gone unnoticed, though, and Rafael Leao has today replied in support of his teammate, as MilanNews reports, following up on his efforts after the game.

“Keep your head up, brother. Good things are coming soon.”

Leao’s history in this role

It is not the first case where Leao has helped on the pitch and off it. If we cast our minds back to the Genoa game, where Youssouf Fofana was struggling, Leao posted a message on his Instagram too, whilst also celebrating with him during the game.

His maturity has been noticed, especially this season, but it is apparent that he has become somewhat of a beacon of support for his teammates. Something which can only be praised.
