Lecce manager ‘confident’ that Camarda will be key for Italian football: “Right amount of time”

Francesco Camarda is the future in the eyes of many, including AC Milan. However, it is important to find when the future is now.

Last season, even now, there are questions about Camarda and whether he could have been the man that Milan needed to lead them forward. However, it remains to be seen if he actually is a man yet. In many senses, he is still only a boy.

Of course, he has several Serie A appearances under his belt now. Though he is still only 17. Throwing the weight of the Rossoneri, if not Italy, on him is a big responsibility that can and will weigh you down if you are not ready.

Faith in Camarda

The dream remains for all parties that Camarda will be the starting Diavolo striker one day, and this is why there is a buy-back clause in the deal with Lecce. For now, though, it is about seeing where he can take the Giallorossi.

Eusebio Di Francesco, his new coach, believes highly in him, but stated it is about time to Gazzetta dello Sport, via MilanPress.

“He’s a talent, that’s clear for everyone to see. Obviously, he needs to mature and be given the right amount of time. Step by step, as I’ve always said. I’m convinced he’ll become important for Italy and Serie A.”
