Francesco Camarda’s future is already written for many; he will be the AC Milan and Italy striker to bring both back to a golden age.
The pressure on Camarada’s shoulders is massive, and whilst he is trying to avoid it, there will be a part of him that knows the expectations are high. A phenomenon at youth levels, the youngster made his Serie A debut at 15 and scored his first Serie A goal this season.
To add to his accolades, the starlet got his first goal for the Under-21 Italy side, becoming the youngest player to ever do so. Perhaps the path has not been smooth so far, but the end goal remains visible.
Camarda keeps impressing
In an attempt to lessen the pressure a little, Milan made the decision to allow him to leave on loan in the summer. So far, it is proving to be a success, with the Italian forging a place in the starting XI and scoring his aforementioned first top-flight goal.
Today, Lecce’s technical director, Pantaleo Corvino, spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport about him, his future, and Luka Modric and MilanPress relay his words.
“When we introduced him, I emphasised that quality has no age limit. He’s talented. He integrated immediately with the rest of the group and is unquestionable on the pitch. The goal he scored against Bologna allowed us to gain a point in the standings and restart with renewed enthusiasm.

“He did it again for Italy, becoming the youngest ever to score for the Under-21s. He’s undoubtedly on an impressive path.”
Modric leaves an impression…
“We’re talking about a Ballon d’Or winner who has won so much at the highest level with Real Madrid, who has a great mentality and crystal-clear class. Furthermore, he has passion and an awareness of what he’s capable of giving. In short, he’s proof that talent has no age limit.”
