Lewandowski unsure on Barcelona future amid Milan links: “I’m calm, I’m in no rush”

Robert Lewandowski has admitted that he does not know what the future holds for him at Barcelona, amid strong links with AC Milan.

This morning, a report from Tuttosport claimed that Milan have been considering the idea of signing Lewandowski on a free transfer next summer. They believe he could have a similar impact to the one Luka Modric has had, with his experience and ability to still perform at the top level.

The Rossoneri hierarchy spoke with Pole’s entourage to see if they were willing to negotiate and received encouraging signals. However, any discussions are geared more towards June than January, given that the ex-Bayern man still wants to finish this season at Barcelona.

‘I’m at peace with myself’

Lewandowski spoke about his future at club level while with the Polish national team ahead of their next two World Cup qualifiers in the final international break of 2025. He was asked about the idea of leaving Barcelona, and MilanNews relayed his comments.

What do you say to Barcelona about your future?

“I don’t know what to say to Barça. I don’t know the answer yet. That’s why I’m in no rush, I’m at peace with myself. And that’s the most important thing.

“Even if, for example, the club contacted me now, I still wouldn’t answer that question. Because I also need to hear what’s best for me. Now I’m calm, I’m in no rush, and right now, I don’t expect anything else.”
