Liverpool fans furious as Diogo Jota moment of silence ruined at Community Shield

Liverpool fans reacted furiously after the period of silence at the start of Sunday's Community Shield was soured by Crystal Palace fans.

Supporters wer told over the public announcement system to maintain silence at the start of the game as the players gathered at the center circle.

But there were several audible noises from the Palace fans before the game - in truth they never really were completely silent after Chris Kavanagh blew his whistle for the start of the period of silence.

Liverpool fans eventually responded with boos and the period was blown up early.
