Liverpool fans were quick to point out the difference in refereeing between their side's Premier League clash against Manchester United at the weekend and today's game with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Early on in the Champions League fixture in Germany, the French referee Francois Letexier stopped the game abruptly with Eintracht Frankfurt duo Arthur Theate and Nathaniel Brown down with head injuries.
Of course, last Sunday, as Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for Manchester United at Anfield, Michael Oliver failed to spot that Alexis Mac Allister was holding his head after he was caught by Virgil van Dijk, making it a controversial opener just over a minute in.
