Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk and goalkeeper Alisson Becker have both been spotted at the AXA Training Centre today, suggesting that they will be available for selection this weekend in the Community Shield.
Van Dijk and Alisson missed the double-header with Athletic Club on Monday, which were the final friendlies of the summer for the Reds. Liverpool will open the new Premier League season by hosting Bournemouth a week tomorrow.
Center-back Van Dijk was ill and therefore missed Monday's games, leaving Ibrahima Konate as the only fit senior defender. Alisson was given some time away for a personal matter, for which he briefly returned to Brazil.
It later emerged that Alisson's wife, Natalia, had undergone an operation. She took to social media to confirm that things had gone to plan and she is now on the mend.
"Unfortunately, Virgil is sick today and we miss out on Alisson," Slot said on LFCTV on Monday. "Joe Gomez is not there, Conor Bradley is not there.
"But until now we have stayed fit as we wanted to be and new signings came in so they got adjusted to what we want. Looking forward first of all to today and then to the next weeks."
Slot will offer an injury update on Gomez and Bradley in a press conference on Friday (scheduled for 9am UK time). On Monday, he added that it would be "tight" for either of the pair to feature against Crystal Palace because of injuries.
Across the rest of the Liverpool team, Slot's side is looking healthy. Ryan Gravenberch will be suspended for the Bournemouth game after he was sent off against Crystal Palace on the last day of last season, but can feature at Wembley on Sunday.
This week, Tyler Morton's move to Lyon was confirmed and Darwin Nunez's switch to Al Hilal has now been agreed. Harvey Elliott and Federico Chiesa are among those who could still move on this summer.
Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike could their first appearances at Wembley in the Liverpool attack. Fellow summer signings Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong are likely to start too.

"They are a team which always makes it difficult," Slot said ahead of the Crystal Palace game. "They have good players, a very good coach with a clear idea of how to play, and to achieve what they achieved last season, winning the Emirates FA Cup here against Manchester City was really impressive. They deserve a lot of credit for that."
Paying tribute to Diogo Jota, he added: "This summer has been a difficult for everybody connected with the club. The passing of Diogo had a big impact on all of us and is something that we are still coming to terms with.
"We cannot imagine the pain that Diogo’s family, his wife, children and friends are going through, and the club will continue to give them all the support they can going forward."
