Paris Saint-Germain has suffered another injury setback ahead of taking on Liverpool in the Champions League quarterfinals, with forward Bradley Barcola already a doubt for the clash.

This weekend, Senny Mayulu sustained a calf problem while representing his club against Nice in Ligue 1. An official statement from PSG confirmed that the 19-year-old midfielder will "undergo treatment for the next two weeks."

Liverpool travels to Paris on Wednesday, April 8, and then the return leg at Anfield is scheduled for the following Tuesday, April 14. Last season, the Reds were knocked out of the Champions League by Luis Enrique's team on penalties.

PSG's 4-0 victory over Nice on Saturday means it remains a point ahead of Lens at the top of the domestic table.

"It was very important," manager Enrique said. "We knew before the match how difficult it would be to play right after the Champions League — that’s to be expected.

"And if you look at the results after this kind of match, it’s always tough, especially here in Nice. We didn't have it all our own way, but I like the way we prepared for the match and how we started.

"I’m very happy with our mentality; it’s important for confidence and for the team. Now we need to do our recovery, think about after the international break, and prepare for the next league game."

Before the first leg, Liverpool will travel to Manchester City in the FA Cup. It then hosts Fulham in the Premier League between the two European matches.

Arne Slot said last week that Alexander Isak should be able to feature against PSG, though likely off the bench rather than from the start as he continues his return to full sharpness.

"He will be available [against PSG]," Slot said. "The question is what you mean by 'ready.'

"If you want to have the player who played exactly a year ago against us in the Carabao Cup final, and was too good for us on that day, then I would tell you I have my doubts about that after months out. But I expect I can use him for minutes.

"Exactly what I get from that I cannot tell you because he hasn’t trained with the team even once. You don’t after one training session play 45 minutes or 90 minutes."

Liverpool is still waiting to determine the exact timeframe that Mohamed Salah will be out for, with Hugo Ekitike also limping off against Brighton on Saturday. Slot said that was only a dead leg, meaning he should be fine to link up with France this week.
