The end of 2025 is almost upon us, but Liverpool has one more game to navigate before entering 2026.

The Reds host Wolves in their final game of the year on Saturday, and Arne Slot will be praying that his side doesn't suffer any more injury problems between now and kick-off at Anfield.

Liverpool faces being without eight senior players for the visit of Rob Edwards' side, who are still looking for a first league win of the season. While Mohamed Salah is away at the Africa Cup of Nations and Dominik Szoboszlai is suspended, the injury list has grown further over the last few days, including a major blow to the club's record signing.

Here is the latest on the injury front for Liverpool…

Alexander Isak

Alexander Isak will be out for the foreseeable future after suffering a broken leg following Micky van de Ven's late challenge against Tottenham. The striker underwent surgery on a fractured fibula and ankle problem that will keep him out of action for at least a few months.

Slot has raised hopes that Isak will return before the end of the season, although any comeback would likely be late in the campaign. Given he has already struggled to settle in after missing pre-season, it's unlikely we'll see the best of him once he is back in the side.

Conor Bradley

Liverpool will have to make a late decision on Conor Bradley after the right-back was forced off at half-time against Tottenham. He appeared to be struggling with his hamstring, and given his injury record, it's never a promising sign to see him hobbling.

Slot played down fears that it might be anything serious, although Bradley is a major doubt for Saturday's game. He missed training on Tuesday and Christmas Eve, with his head coach waiting to see whether he can take part in the session on Boxing Day.

Cody Gakpo

Cody Gakpo has been out injured since picking up a muscle problem during the 3-3 draw at Leeds earlier this month.

Slot described his fellow Dutchman's situation as being similar to Bradley's, while also suggesting that he could make his return against Wolves this weekend. A decision on his fitness will likely be made on Boxing Day if he can train with his teammates, but that could be a potential boost for the Reds.

Joe Gomez

Joe Gomez was forced off midway through the first half of the 2-0 win over Brighton, having assisted Hugo Ekitike for the opener less than a minute into the game.

The defender has had more than his fair share of injuries during his time at Anfield, and the sight of him limping off at Anfield won't fill fans with hope. Slot confirmed on Tuesday that he will remain out injured for Saturday's game, with no clear indication of when he might return at the moment.

Wataru Endo

Like Gakpo, Wataru Endo's last appearance came in the draw at Leeds, with the Japan international having sustained an ankle injury.

The midfielder is expected to be out until the New Year now, with Slot confirming on Tuesday that he remains out for Saturday's game. His absence will come as a big blow at a time when Liverpool could do with some backup options in defense.

Giovanni Leoni

Giovanni Leoni's season was over before it had barely begun, with the young defender picking up an ACL injury on his debut in September.

The Italian subsequently underwent surgery and is expected to miss the rest of the campaign now, with next season the target for him.
