The fallout continues following Liverpool's second defeat in just a matter of days, with Arne Slot's side having lost 1-0 to Galatasaray on Tuesday.
Victor Osimhen's penalty was enough to secure the Turkish champions their victory in the Champions League league phase encounter, with the Reds far from their best once again as they rarely looked as though they would find a way back into the game.
And the game produced even more headaches for Slot than just another defeat. Alisson Becker and Hugo Ekitike were both forced off injured during the second half and what would be major blows for Liverpool ahead of another big game against Chelsea on Saturday.
There is hope that Ekitike will be okay to face the Blues, but Slot has already ruled Alisson out of the weekend, with yet another injury problem for Liverpool's goalkeeper providing plenty of concern.
