Liverpool news and transfers LIVE: Gravenberch injury, Van Dijk gesture, Champions League latest

2 weeks ago 32

Liverpool has lost four games in a row for the first time since November 2014 under Brendan Rodgers with Manchester United tasting victory at Anfield over the weekend.

Cody Gakpo improved and could have scored a hat-trick but Liverpool toiled in front of goal again with Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak struggling and Florian Wirtz only coming off the bench.

That meant Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire could fire Manchester United to a big win for Ruben Amorim, leaving Slot scratching his head and wondering what comes next.

For Liverpool, there will be a chance to bounce back against Eintracht Frankfurt midweek in the Champions League. Ahead of that game, though, Ryan Gravenberch will need to be assessed after he limped off.

There is plenty to think about for Slot, who could make some changes to his starting line-up on Wednesday in an attempt to turn things around potentially with Mohamed Salah coming out of the team.

Stick with our Liverpool.com live blog as we bring you all the build-up to the Eintracht Frankfurt game. Slot will face the media on Tuesday ahead of that clash.
