While Liverpool and Newcastle continue to wrangle over the future of Alexander Isak, a young Red is set to make his way to Tyneside after declining a new contract on Merseyside.
Isak has become the headline act of the summer transfer window as the Swede finds himself out in the cold at Newcastle and is keen to join the current Premier League champions.
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has had to field questions about Isak's future on a daily basis in recent weeks, and Liverpool has now bolstered its funds for a potential fresh bid for Isak by offloading Darwin Nunez to Saudi Arabian team Al-Hilal.
However, far removed from the millions involved in that transaction, 16-year-old Reds midfielder Isaac Moran has chosen to depart Liverpool's academy and head to Newcastle.
A former England youth skipper, Moran was elevated from Liverpool's under-16s to the under-18s for the final three matches of the previous season, playing the full 90 minutes in fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Wolves and Sunderland.

But he will now be making the switch to Sunderland's north-east rivals Newcastle after rejecting a scholarship contract offered by Liverpool.
Moran, who is managed by ex-Reds vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold's PLG Agency, took to Instagram to announce his decision to part ways with the Reds.
Accompanied by a montage of photos charting his journey from the youth ranks, including a training session with Jurgen Klopp and his time as a ballboy during Mohamed Salah's goal in the decisive match against Tottenham last season, Moran shared: "I have made the tough decision to leave Liverpool Football Club.
"I want it to be known that this decision was not taken lightly and I have been honoured to represent the club, but I believe it's best for my career and future opportunities to go elsewhere.
"I would like to thank all of my teammates, coaches and staff for all their hard work over these past 10 years, in not only shaping me to be the footballer I am, but most importantly the person I am today. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you. YNWA."
Moran's move to St James' Park as Isak's future has taken yet another twist. Reports on Saturday suggested that Newcastle's owners had told the striker he will not be sold this summer, although manager Eddie Howe would go on to leave the door open for a potential exit.
