Liverpool U19s won a nine-goal thriller against Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Youth League, with Kieran Morrison, in particular, starring for Rob Page's side.
The young Reds fell behind twice in the game, going 1-0 down after the highly-rated Keziah Oteng-Mensah headed home unmarked from close range. Within eight minutes, though, Morrison had teed up the also-excellent Trent Kone-Doherty with a superb pass, which was coolly taken advantage of.
Another five minutes later, Morrison forced an own-goal from goalkeeper Amil Siljevic to put Liverpool ahead, and he was running things down the right flank. However, Frankfurt scored twice in two minutes to make it 3-2 with 35 on the clock.
Before half-time, Josh Sonni-Lambie had pulled Liverpool level again. And then six minutes into the second half, Kone-Doherty got his second of the game to put his team in front.
Substitute Ollie O'Connor — set through by another excellent pass from Morrison — made it 5-3 to Liverpool with a low finish into the corner.
Bailey Hall in the visiting goal looked to have ensured that there were no more goals with a couple of good saves, before Alessandro Gaul Souza found the back of the net.
And Hall almost allowed Frankfurt to make it 5-5 deep into stoppage time when he split what should have been a simple enough catch, only for Alvin Ayman to react quickest to clear Liverpool's lines.
In addition to Morrison, Trey Nyoni, who was excellent against Galatasaray last time out, and Kone-Doherty also impressed for Liverpool.

The latter's brace means he is now up to second in the all-time scorers for the Reds in this competition.
Before this game, Liverpool had already drawn with Atletico Madrid in Kirkby and beaten Galatasaray away from home.
This result therefore puts it in a great position to make the knockout phase.
In the new format, brought in last season in line with the updated Champions League group phase, everyone plays six times in the Youth League — the same six fixtures that the senior editions of each team face in UEFA's main tournament.
That means Liverpool still has to play Real Madrid, PSV and Inter, with the first two of those games to be played on Merseyside.
The top 22 teams progress into the last-32 of the competition, with the young Reds currently fifth.
