Manchester City deservedly beat Liverpool 4-0 in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday thanks to an Erling Haaland hat-trick
Dominik Szoboszlai believes Erling Haaland's header shortly before half-time turned the game in Manchester City's favour as they beat Liverpool 4-0 in the FA Cup on Saturday. City took the lead on 39 minutes when Nico O'Reilly was tripped by Virgil van Dijk and Haaland scored the resulting penalty.
The Blues added a second on the stroke of half-time as Antoine Semenyo's cross was guided in by Haaland. Shortly after the break, Semenyo made it three to secure City's spot at Wembley. There was still time for Haaland to claim his hat-trick as he converted O'Reilly's low cross.
Szoboszlai cut an understandably disappointed figure at full-time as Liverpool players thanked the fans for their support. After the match, the Hungary international explained where he felt the game was won and lost while praising the Blues. "I don't think the penalty was the turning point, rather it was the second goal conceded that changed the game," he said.

"There is one minute left, and you could go into the half-time at 1-0, and you concede another one before that, it's not a positive thing to come out afterwards feeling like you still have a chance away against Manchester City. I think few teams can come back from 2-0 down against City. So I would say the second goal was the turning point."
For City, the result continues their momentum that started to build last month at Wembley. After winning the Carabao Cup, the Blues still have a realistic shot at winning a domestic treble.
Standing in their way in the Premier League are Arsenal. The Gunners are nine points clear of the Blues heading into the run-in.
However, Pep Guardiola's side have a game in hand to play against Crystal Palace and also welcome Arsenal to the Etihad Stadium in a couple of weeks. While City are in a buoyant mood, the Gunners are struggling.
Mikel Arteta's team followed up the disappointing loss to City at Wembley with a poor result against Southampton on Saturday.
