Liverpool’s victory in the Merseyside derby has set itself up nicely for the remainder of the season, with the Reds well placed to secure Champions League football.
That could prove to be invaluable for Arne Slot and his team, with another big summer on the horizon, even if another huge spending spree like last year is unlikely.
Jeremy Jacquet is of course already on the way, and Ibrahima Konate looks as though he’ll be staying put, but the Reds will still have plenty of work to do - not least with Mohamed Salah bringing the curtain down on his Anfield career.

Eli Junior Kroupi (Bournemouth)
Liverpool may have just been handed a boost in its search for a new forward, with Football Insider claiming that Bournemouth is prepared to sell Eli Junior Kroupi.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a fine first season in the Premier League, having scored 10 goals in 28 appearances, and he’s already attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs around. As well as Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are also said to have joined the race for his signature, while Chelsea and Tottenham have retained their interest from last year.
Kroupi is valued at around £60 million ($81M) and its suggested it will take a big fee to land him, but Bournemouth is said to be open to a sale.

Liverpool.com says: Kroupi is certainly a player to keep a close eye on. Whether Liverpool should be splashing out $81M on such a young player after just one year in the Premier League is another matter though.
If Kroupi is on the Reds' radar, it feels like they might be better served letting him stay at Bournemouth for another season so they can gauge whether he will go on to become a success. They might end up missing out if another club goes in for him this summer, but that would be a bit of a gamble.
Randal Kolo Muani (PSG)
Arne Slot has approved a deal for Liverpool to sign Randal Kolo Muani, according to TuttoJuve. The striker is set to return to Paris Saint-Germain from his loan at Tottenham in the summer, but it’s claimed he isn’t under consideration by Luis Enrique.
Juventus and Liverpool are said to be leading the charge for his signing, with Slot supposedly giving the okay for the Reds to pursue a deal.

It’s suggested that Kolo Muani’s versatility would appeal to Liverpool following Hugo Ekitike’s injury, and with Mohamed Salah departing in the summer.
Liverpool.com says: No. Just no. Kolo Muani has been such a poor signing for Tottenham, and one goal in 25 league appearances tells you all you need to know.
You could argue that anyone might have been doomed to fail in that Spurs team, but even so, a striker worth their salt would surely be returning better numbers than that. It's just a signing that Liverpool should absolutely steer clear of, even if he is versatile.
