Liverpool could be dealt a blow in its possible pursuit of Juventus youngster Kenan Yildiz, with the Turin club reportedly intent on tying the 20-year-old down to a fresh contract.

Yildiz has established himself as a regular fixture for Juve over the last couple of years, and is enjoying a productive 2025-26 season thus far, with six goals and six assists in 22 appearances.

Juve is already in a strong position with regard to Yildiz's future, with the player contracted to the Serie A side to 2029, but the club is so keen to keep hold of him that it is keen to offer him fresh terms until 2031. Liverpool is among a number of Premier League clubs said to be keen on Yildiz, along with Chelsea and Arsenal, while Real Madrid is also said to be monitoring the situation.

Yildiz can play in a variety of positions across the front line but he is at his most productive when operating as a second striker.

The youngster, who joined Juventus from Bayern in 2022, was born in Germany but is a Turkey international, amassing 26 caps for his country since his debut two years ago.

Meanwhile, a spurious transfer report by the notoriously unreliable Fichajes claims that Liverpool has had an $82 million offer from Eduardo Camavinga rejected.

Camavinga has established himself as an important player for Real Madrid since joining the Spanish giant from Rennes in 2021, with his versatility seeing him used in midfield, defense, and sometimes as a winger.

It would make little sense for Madrid to sell him, nor would it make any sense for Liverpool to look to sign a new midfielder given the other pressing areas of concern in the squad.

Liverpool already has Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Curtis Jones, Florian Wirtz and Wataru Endo as midfield options, and Arne Slot's squad would be best served with the addition of a new center-back or a new attacker.

Fichajes has developed a reputation over the last decade for publishing nonsense transfer rumors and this one can safely be classed as one of those.

One player who Liverpool is interested in, is the Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, but the Reds are seemingly facing an uphill battle to divert him away from Manchester City.

It emerged last week that Semenyo's preference was to join the Etihad Stadium club, but The Telegraph is saying Liverpool could throw a spanner in the works by moving for the 25-year-old next month.
