Liverpool returns to Premier League action in under a week but there could be plenty more transfer developments before then. The window doesn't close until September 1.
Arne Slot's side has been very active up to this point, but is still hoping to bring in Alexander Isak. A center-back would be very useful, too, given Jarell Quansah's sale has the Reds down to just three senior players in that role.
Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today. We start, of course, with the latest on Alexander Isak, with a few more details emerging on his situation.
Alexander Isak (Newcastle United)
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe says Isak could still have a future at St James' Park. However, the player is still training on his own at the moment and the Magpies are keen to carry on sending a message to the 25-year-old.
"We’ve had discussions and it’s clear at the moment we can’t have him involved with the group," Howe said, via the Daily Mail's Craig Hope, after Newcastle drew 2-2 with Espanyol on Friday.
"I don’t know how long that will be for. It’s clear I can’t involve him with the team at the moment. He is training later than the rest of the squad. There have been discussions since the tour. I don’t think disciplinary action has happened.

"He is here, so of course he has a future at Newcastle. From our perspective, we would love to have him back with the team, but the situation has to be right for that to happen."
Earlier in the day, it emerged that Newcastle had identified FC Porto striker Samu Aghehowa as one option to bring to the club. It is also growing in confidence on Brentford ace Yoane Wissa.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle has failed with another contract offer to Isak this week. The Italian reporter also says Liverpool is "ready" with another proposal should there be any encouragement that a deal is possible.
Liverpool.com says: It feels realistic that Newcastle could get a couple of forwards in across the course of the next two weeks or so. If that happens, it surely has to consider cashing in on Isak. At this point, it feels like the best outcome for all parties.
Goncalo Ramos (PSG)
After Bradley Barcola was linked with Liverpool earlier this week, another PSG attacker is now said to be on the Reds' radar. Goncalo Ramos, the Portuguese striker, is supposedly an option.
Ramos, who cost around $76 million (£56 million) to sign from Benfica in 2023, spent most of last season playing as an impact substitute. But he still scored 19 goals in all competitions.
According to Caught Offside, Liverpool could make a cut-price move for Ramos, spotting an opportunity to get an undervalued asset in the market. He has supposedly also been offered to Manchester United.
Newcastle, which has been linked with a variety of number nines in recent days, is another Premier League option. Aston Villa, even though it has just signed Evann Guessand for around $40 million (£30 million) from Nice, is also mentioned.
Liverpool.com says: Ramos is a decent player but he isn't at the same level as Isak, that is clear. Having already signed Hugo Ekitike this summer, Liverpool needs one of the very best in the world, or no one at all. Ramos wouldn't make much sense.
