The latest Liverpool transfer news as the club is rumored to be plotting a possible striker signing in January, while there is an update on Antoine Semenyo

Liverpool could look to sign a striker during the January transfer window as a short-term solution to the problem posed by Alexander Isak's broken leg.
Isak broke his leg during Liverpool's win over Tottenham prior to Christmas and is facing several months out of the side after undergoing surgery.
Thankfully for the Reds, Hugo Ekitike has been in brilliant form of late, but Arne Slot would undoubtedly like to have more depth at his disposal up front.
Caught Offside says that Liverpool has several names on its radar, including Dusan Vlahovic, Ivan Toney, and Goncalo Ramos.
Juventus striker Vlahovic and Al-Ahli's Toney would reportedly only be available on permanent deals, which could discourage Liverpool, given the club does not need to sign another out-and-out striker permanently. But PSG striker Ramos could apparently be available on a six-month loan deal.

An alternative for Liverpool would be to sign a more versatile forward capable of playing in multiple positions across the front line, and it is claimed that the likes of Real Madrid's Rodrygo and PSG's Bradley Barcola have been considered.
Meanwhile, there are contrasting reports coming out about Antoine Semenyo's future, with some outlets claiming that Manchester City remain in pole position to land the Bournemouth forward – but The Telegraph is saying Liverpool could throw a spanner in the works by moving for the 25-year-old next month.

Liverpool spent a huge sum of money during the summer transfer window, but also brought in a significant amount through player sales, so it is not necessarily the case that the Reds will be hamstrung in the January window due to their activity in the off-season.
The addition of Semenyo to Liverpool's squad would be a welcome one at the moment, considering the selection issues currently facing Arne Slot.
Alexander Isak is sidelined with a broken leg, while Mohamed Salah is at the Africa Cup of Nations, and his long-term future at Anfield remains uncertain.
A £65 million ($88 million) release clause in Semenyo's Bournemouth contract will become active on New Year's Day and remain active until January 10.
The deadline on the release clause was inserted so that Bournemouth would have time to replace Semenyo were he to leave in the first few days of January.
