Liverpool will be able to add more players to its roster from tomorrow, when the January transfer window opens, and already there has been plenty of speculation about who could be targeted.
Antoine Semenyo, who has an $88 million (£65 million) release clause that can be activated from the first day of 2026, has been put forward as one option for Arne Slot.
It was suggested last week that Semenyo was heading to Manchester City, but the Daily Mail reported over the weekend that Liverpool could still be in contention. It seems he will be heading for the Etihad Stadium.
Elsewhere, signing a center-back would be a good idea, and Marc Guehi is the obvious target. However, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner is keen to keep his captain, even if that means getting a fee.
Borussia Dortmund ace Nico Schlotterbeck is another defender being linked with Anfield. Any move for the German, who is also being touted as an option for Bayern Munich and Barcelona, would likely come in the summer rather than right now.

Antoine Semenyo latest
Manchester City is expected to wrap up a move for the Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, but Andoni Iraola says the winger has not played his last game for the Cherries.
"He is a massive player for us and he will still be with us," the Bournemouth boss told BBC Match of the Day. "It is not the last game he has played for us. Definitely not."
