Loftus-Cheek and Leao praised: The latest insights from training at Milanello

AC Milan have provided yet another insight into Massimiliano Allegri’s training sessions via a video on the YouTube channel.

Milan are preparing for the 2025-26 season and they have two friendlies on the horizon in the next 10 days, against Arsenal on July 23rd and against Liverpool on July 26th. Therefore, training continues at Milanello to get ready for the tour.

In the video of the latest session, the team immediately get to work with the ball. “More passes, more verticality, so we can get out of this,” Allegri’s assistants say as the Rossoneri quickly move the ball around in a sort of rondo.

Mike Maignan also featured, working on his reflexes. The ball was deflected from very close range, and the Frenchman had to react as quickly as possible and close the net. The goalkeeper did brilliantly.

Then a sort of training match took place where Leao immediately showed up on the left and scored a beautiful curling goal after getting the better of Fikayo Tomori. The work of these training sessions seemed clear: one-on-one, pressing when not in possession, and quickly counter-attacking.

Leao and especially Ruben Loftus-Cheek drew praise for their running and a lot of desire. The Englishman closed down Yunus Musah on the counter, even drawing a foul, and the coaches shouted: “Well done, Ruben!”
